J. Herbin 1798 Bottled Fountain Pen Ink in Kyanite du Nepal – 50 mL

Description:

In the year 1798, the French Revolution was ending, ushering in a new era of modern ideas and discovery. At the same time, the steel nib dip pen began to replace quill pens as the primary writing instrument. Herbin, the commercial establishment founded by Jacques Herbin in 1670, relocated to expand the production and influence of their sealing wax and inks.

Kyanite is a bright deep turquoise. The clouds of silver shimmer flow through the turquoise ink just like the Kyanite mineral found in the Kali Gandaki region of Nepal. Kyanite is recognized as a noble mineral due to its similarity to the rich tones of sapphire.

Fans of the 1670 Anniversary ink collection will want to expand their collection with this saturated bright blue color that exhibits the radiant Herbin shimmer. The new 1798 ink bottle has a wider mouth for easier filling access.

• 50mL Glass bottle of fountain pen ink
• Hand-Dipped Wax Seal on bottle, stamped with "1798"
• Highly Saturated ink should be given extra care when cleaning your pens after use.
• Be sure not to mix this ink with other fountain pen inks.

Please note that ink color swab depicted on our item listing image is for reference only. The actual color of the ink may be subject to variations in manufacturing and computerized scanning quality of the sample.
